The 2021 Annual Rhode Island High School Chemistry Contest is Canceled

Dear Chemistry Teacher,

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced all of us to refrain from many activities we enjoy. We anticipate that the state will still be under restrictions in May. Thus, with great reluctance, we must yield to prudence and suspend the Annual Rhode Island High School Chemistry Contest for 2021.

We made this decision early so that we could notify everyone in advance of any planning that you may have considered. We know that your workload for delivering classes in hybrid and/or remote fashion is exceptionally time consuming and we appreciate the efforts you are making.

We sincerely hope that we can all soon resume our normal lives and the URI Chemistry Department can once again invite you to our campus for the High School Chemistry Contest. Until then, we hope that you will stay well so we can meet you or see you again.
