Our research program is primarily focused on the study of chemical, physical and optoelectronic properties of nanomaterials which include carbon nanotubes (CNT), CNT-polymer composites, mesoporous silicon and organic-inorganic nanocomposites. We are involved in the research of the photoconductivity of single- and multi-walled carbon nanotubes; photo and electromechanical actuators based on composites from CNTs and ionomeric polymers; nanocomposites from porous silicon filled with organic molecules for photovoltaics and fluorescent optochemical sensors for explosives.
